Your contribution to VASPS2021

Thank you for considering VASPS2021 to share your expertise, your knowledge and your methods.

VASPS2021 is all about helping sport psychology professionals who are working in the applied field to further increase the quality of the services they provide to their athletes, teams and coaches. Having said that, I am 100% convinced that there are hundreds of sport psychology professionals out there you are eager to learn from you and benefit from your experiences. Thus, I would like to encourage you to apply to talk about your expertise, your lessons learned or your methods at VASPS2021!

In addition to all invited speakers at VASPS2021 I want to give even more sport psychology professionals a chance to share what they know with others in order to further increase the quality of the sport psychology services we provide to our athletes.

The topic of your contribution

You can share everything related to applied sport psychology with other attendees at VASPS2021. This can be, but is not limited to…

  • …a specific method or approach you use when working with athletes,
  • …how you developed a sport psychology program for a club,
  • …interventions you developed for helping athletes cope with pressure and stress,
  • …workshops for parents to help them support their children in sports,
  • …approaches you use when working with referees,
  • …how to successfully terminate a coaching relationship,
  • …using technology in applied sport psychology,
  • …coaching programs you developed to help athletes sleep better,
  • …or anything else related to applied sport psychology.

Although there will be distinct topics on each of the four days at VASPS2021, I also want to give you the opportunity to talk about something that is relevant to you and most likely also to other sport psychology professionals. Thus, I highly encourage you to talk about your expertise.

How to contribute?

Your topic, your knowledge, your talk. You define what you want to talk about and what the content should be. I am sure you have a wealth of knowledge to share. If you want to share it, I would ask you to briefly explain in not more than 400 words WHAT your topic is, WHY it is relevant in applied sport psychology and HOW you dealt with it. I prepared a short template for you to use, which summarizes all necessary information. Although I definitely don’t want VASPS2021 to be the typical conference-abstract-submissions-type-of-summit, I need to have a structured way to go through all potential contributions. After the submissions deadline (April 30th, 2021) all submissions will be reviewed by me and two other sport psychology professionals. Depending on the content and the numbers of contributions we will then decide on the final presentations for VASPS2021 by June 1st, 2021.

All accepted presentations will be 15-20 minutes long, pre-recorded by you and send to me until August 31st, 2021. If you want to use slides, talk about guidelines, handouts or other resources, please share those with me, so I can also upload these to the summits’ website in order to give all attendees access to them. All videos for VASPS2021 are hosted on www.vimeo.com. The acceptable file formats include MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, and FLV. All additional files should be send in as PDF.

Please note: In order to be eligible to talk at VASPS2021 you need to be a licensed, accredited etc. sport psychology professional, following the rules and regulations of common national and international sport psychology associations like AASP, FEPSAC, BPS, ASP, VSPN etc.

How to apply?

If you wish to present at VASPS2021, please send the short abstract mentioned above and send it to christian@virtualsportpsych.com until April, 30th, 2021. You will then receive a confirmation of your submission.

Your benefits!

You not only share your expertise with other sport psychology professionals and help them learn from you, and thus improve the quality of sport psychology services worldwide. You will also receive an ALL-ACCESS PASS to VASPS2021 for free. That way, others learn from you and you learn from them. Does that work for you?

Do you have any other questions related to presenting at VASPS2021? Just send me an email or use the chat on the website and ask your questions. As always, I am more than happy to help!
